Settings can be saved in a variety of ‘sets’ and ‘sub-sets’ which are stored within the Project file.
The different ‘sets’ are named as they are saved by the user, and within them, the ‘sub-sets’ relate to data defined in the various DatMapR windows ...

To reload saved settings, an existing set is first selected from the pull-down list (e.g. 'All Species' in the above example). The appropriate 'load' tick-boxes are enabled showing which ‘sub-sets’ were included in the save. Some or all of the check boxes can be deselected or reselected, and clicking the Load Selected Settings button will load only the selected sub-sets. Settings sub-sets can therefore be saved and reloaded in any combination - e.g. a standard set of settings can be reloaded containing all of the sub-sets including coloured symbols for use in a presentation, then a new set of symbols can be loaded from a different sub-set (e.g. to produce a black on white map for publication).
